Former Hurricanes RB Jarrett Payton has signed to play with the Chicago Slaughter of the Indoor Football League.Payton will wear his father's familiar #34 jersey when the Slaughter begins Indoor Football League play on February 27th for coach Steve McMichael, a former teammate of Payton's father Walter with the Chicago Bears.
The Slaughter recently joined the now 26 team IFL after leaving the Continental Indoor Football League after last season.
Payton last played for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL after stints with the Tennessee Titans of the NFL, the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe and the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL.
